How do I remove a IIS folder that is locked?
I'm new here, sorry the subject isn't more clearer. Suppose you have a web app, and you want to delete it ( virtual folder & physical folder) -- i know this is a FAQ Here's the part I'm wondering about: Now suppose that the ASP.net app did something, like open a file handle and doesn't close it. Now you try to delete that iis folder and you can do that, but when you delete the physical folder in explorer, it says you can't do that. Is there some way to just say, in essence, "I don't care, just blow it away - delete it, I know the file handle is open"??? I can only get this to work if I stop IIS doing a reset. I was just wondering if there is another way around it. thanks for your help in advance, sincererly, J |
