User Name in ADHi,
I have regular accounts set up in an OU that gets changed fequently. Instead of resetting up different users for doing the same job and the same permissions I change the log in name and display name and use the old account. The display name will not change. Am I missing something somewhere? I don't understand why the name displayed will not change. I'm using Advanced Server 2000 if that makes any difference. Thanks for any help. :) MCorn Hi Mcorn
when you rename the account in ad do you just right click on it and say rename? if so do you also rename it for the logon name and for the pre windows 2000 logon name under the account information in ad? Display and nothing changes. I can give the account to somebody and the changed sign on works but if I need to look this person up I have to look for the user prior. Hope this makes sense! Thanks for the reply!
