Removing roaming profiles using AD

Is there a way to remove a roaming profile after a user has logged off?  We
use a common group log on for a certain department.  It is currently a
roaming profile.  We do not want to make it a mandatory profile because the
users need to add stuff to their desktop as needed.  Trying to maintain the
handful of computers these people use is becoming a nightmare.  You change
something on one computer and then log off thinking the change will stick.
But if someone logs on using that same logon on a different computer, and it
loads the cached profile from that computer, then logs off, your changes are
gone.  It's a vicious cycle!!!  Or maybe I just need something to remove
items from the temp folder and the Temporary Internet file directory as both
these folders get quite large.  If anyone has some suggestions, I can sure
use the input.
