When trying to install Windows Server 2003 Administration
Tools Pack on my "Windows XP Pro x64 edition", it fails and
claim that I have to install QFE Q329357. But when I go to
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=329357 and try
downloading the 64-bit edition, I get the error:

"Extraction Failed
The image file update\update.exe is valid, but is for a
machine type other than the current machine."

I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+
( boot.ini /usepmtimer )

"Windows XP 64 bit Edition" - I believe this is for Itanium-based 64-bit
operating systems only. You will need to find one compatible with "Windows
XP x64 Edition" or make the standard one work (compatibility mode?). I have
no experience with x64 XP so I can't help more.

I got it working. I had to re-download the "Windows Server 2003 Service
Pack 1 Administration Tools Pack" from Microsoft's webpages. The old one

I had adminpak.msi dated 28. march 2005 (Microsoft Windows Server 2003
Service Pack 1 Administration Tools Pack) Yeah you heard me, exact same
name!

The one I had was abviously not the same version, so it seems like
Microsoft updates things without updating any information :(
