Any way to tell owner of files on file server?

In Novell I could click the properties of a file and tell who wrote the file
(owner) to the file server.  I don't see that in Microsoft.  Is there any way
to do this in MS on a W2k3 Server with AD?

Thanks,
Johnny

You can probably see who has FC on the file, that is if the file itself
doesn't tell you who wrote it.

The owner is part of the security descriptor. So open up advanced security
dialog and look at the owner tab.

I noticed that once all the SIDs displayed the actual users in the security
tab, I could click advanced and click the Owner tab to show the owner.  I was
being impatient and not waiting for the SIDs to refresh....hence the advanced
tab was not selectable.

Thanks Joe and Ace for the responses!

Cool! I think Joe's suggestions was more inline, but glad you figured it
out.
