Is there a way to set using Active Directory, which ports individual
computers should use for Remote Desktop? Or even a VNC software?

Thanks

I thought there was a Group Policy for this but apparently there isn't
(I didn't find a policy for that). You could look at
CompConf\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Terminal Services -
I guess you need to use the default port for connections.

VNC or other RDP-applications are special. If they are configurable with
a Registry setting (where they store the port to connect in), you can
create a custom ADM template and manage the port via Group Policy.

cheers,
Florian

I don't think you have to set ports in Active Directory. You just have to
open port 389 in your router/firewall and then enable Remote Desktop on the
server and remember to add the users that you want to use remote desktop to
the Remote Desktop Users group in AD.

Hi
Those settings are configured in windows registry (remote desktop). You can
use a startup script to change that.
