GPO Version mismatch in SysvolI am getting a Version mismatch error from gpotool telling me that the DS
version number for a GPO is different to the Sysvol number. In fact the DS version number is higher. My AD and FRS replication is ok as I have used ADST to confirm my general AD/DC health. How do I resolve this? Do I simply re-edit the GPO and allow replication to occur? Also, post an unedited ipconfig /all from two of your DCs so we can get a better idea of how your infrastructure and DCs are configured. I forgot to also ask for the following: dcdiag /v /fix > x:\dcdiag.txt netdiag /v /fix > c:\netdiag.txt repadmin /showreps (from two of your DCs) repadmin /showmeta (from two of your DCs and compare data version info) Don't forget the ipconfig /all's and the event log errors from any of your DCs. Thanks! Ace Hello Kevin,
Run diagnostic tools, dcdiag /v, netdiag /v, repadmin /showrepl and dnslint /ad /s "dc ip address". The first 3 you will find when installing support\tools\suptools.msi from the 2000/2003 installation disk. dnslint you can find here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321045 Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. ** Please do NOT email, only reply to Newsgroups ** HELP us help YOU!!! http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm Show quoteHide quote > I am getting a Version mismatch error from gpotool telling me that the > DS version number for a GPO is different to the Sysvol number. Apparently they were mismatched, and re-editing it caused them to line up again. Ace
