Network drive mappingHello,
We are facing a small challenge with the network drive mapping and offline files. We have some users for whom we have applied the script to map some network drives. It is working fine and they are getting all the drives. Now they have made some of the folders available offline out of those network drives. When they are connected they are able to access everything fine but once they are disconnected and they login fresh with cached credentials they are not able to see any drive which contains offline folders. When they try to access the drives using \\servername\share they are able to see the offline folders and are able to work. Is there a way by which they should be able to see the network drives when they are not connected to network and they can access offline folders. I dont want them to access UNC manually when they are offline. Thanks and Regards, Hello Sukhwinder,
Make sure you have the proper offline settings on the shared folder. Right click on the shared folder, select properties, select caching and configure your offline settings accordingly. -- Show quoteHide quoteIsaac Oben [MCTIP:EA, MCSE] "Sukhwinder Singh" <SukhwinderSi***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:35508501-32AF-4BA3-9B6D-6DD50E835E14@microsoft.com... > Hello, > > We are facing a small challenge with the network drive mapping and offline > files. We can do that but user is not ready to accept as he was able to get the drives before his laptop was formatted. Is there a way to get the drives mapped even after disconnecting the network.
