Hello,

we have local admins who useing a web application (client/server) to
administarte user accounts in a special OU (only in this OU) in the domainX.
The local admins are members of the domainZ. The logon to the web
application via Internet Explorer with a extra domainX\local admin account.

The problem is: If the password of the DomainX account is expired (the
account to logon to the web application), the local admin gets an error
message like "You are not authorised to view this page"

Is there a possibility that in place of this error message a password
changing dialog appears?

DC: W2k3 R2 SP1
Webserver: IIS6.0

Regards
Frank

Not with the built-in stuff.  You will have to write,
buy or beg a web based tool for this.

Paul Williams [MVP]
Google IISADMPWD or have a look at kb297121.  Not sure if this is what
you're after or not, but it might help...

I *think* he wants something to change an arbitrary
user password in AD through a web page/form (these
users aren't completely arbitrary for him though, as
they are some type of admin.)
