How to rename a Domain in SBE 2003Hello,
during the installation process of a Windows Server 2003 SBE I have misspelled the domain name. Is there a possibility to rename the domain name without reinstalling the whole system? I have seen domain rename tools for the 2003 Standard Server family but nothing for the sbe edition. Thanks Jacek Schikora http://www.j-s-edv.de Hi
By default the SBS 2003 has the DFL at W2K native, and for you to rename the DC you have to have the DFL at Windows 2003, i'm not sure what impact this will have in SBS and related services. It would be better to place this post in SBS newsgroup. -- Show quoteHide quoteI hope that the information above helps you Good Luck Jorge Silva MCSA Systems Administrator "J. S. and it also depends what SP is loaded for e2k3 (at least sp1).... but don't forget other apps, as those might also be impacted -- Show quoteHide quoteCheers, (HOPEFULLY THIS INFORMATION HELPS YOU!) # Jorge de Almeida Pinto # MVP Windows Server - Directory Services BLOG (WEB-BASED)--> http://blogs.dirteam.com/blogs/jorge/default.aspx BLOG (RSS-FEEDS)--> http://blogs.dirteam.com/blogs/jorge/rss.aspx ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties and confers no rights! * Always test before implementing! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ################################################# ################################################# ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Jorge Silva" <jorgesilva***@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:uh$YUK%23iGHA.4884@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > Hi > > By default the SBS 2003 has the DFL at W2K native, and for you to rename > the DC you have to have the DFL at Windows 2003, i'm not sure what impact > this will have in SBS and related services.
