Does anyone where I can find a document listing the schema changes made when
extending the schema with the Windows Server 2003 R2 ADPrep utility?  I know
that Microsoft published a complete, detailed list of schema changes made by
SMS 2003, but I have been unable to find a similar list for R2.  Thanks in
advance.

I find it's easiest to simply read the LDIF files that hold the schema change
data :)

DFS, print mgmtm and UNIX integration features require schema mods.

Read about it here: http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsServer/en/Library/84445c1b-a418-4a09-a50c-5f3258cfc5b51033.mspx

sch31.ldf is the file to read through.

Excellent.  I looked in the ADPREP directory on my install media and there
are actually 18 different LDF files (SCH14.LDF...SCH31.LDF).  How did you
determine that SCH31.LDF is the one that contains the applicable schema
modifications?

It is documented in the TechNet article he gave you.

Ooops...boy is my face red.  I had already read that Technet Article looking
for an actual list, therefore, I just skimmed through it and missed
it...again.

There it is right there...
"These new object classes are defined in a file named Sch31.ldf,
which is located on the Windows Server 2003 R2 installation CD"

Thank you both for your help.

The reason is that AD 2000 is version 13.  Version 14 - 30 are Server 2003.
Version 31 is R2.

If I am already at Windows Server 2003 with SP1, is there any other
preperation needed before upgrading to R2? I read Article 912309 which
gives details on how to upgrade but does not mention a R2 ADPrep
utility. Is this something that needs to be ran?
