Hi, a lot of user of my company are alway out of office and not connected to
the domain. Sometimes their password expires, and every times they call us
for changing password (we open active directory and change password)because
they use VPN connection to read email with outlook and navigate with proxy
server of our company and use the intranet.

Does exist a way to change theirself the password when they are connected in
VPN, but not directly connected to the domain? Some procedure or script?

Thanks to all.

Google IISADMPWD.  This is an IIS/ OWA ASP page that allows you to do this.

If you have Exchange, you can use the OWA change password function. Another
option will be to use a script or utility that will notify the users via
email when their passwords are about to expire.

i think it depends on what authentication method you are using such as MSCHAP
or MSCHAPv2 or EAP you are allowed to change password over vpn but CHAP or
PAP you cant , sound right?
