We've Windows 2003 server in our AD which is File server.
On one of the volumes there are about 500 user shared folders with specific
shared folder and ntfs permissions.
We bought new bigger disk which is connected to the same server.
Is there a way to move all these folders with their shared folder and
ntfs permissions to the same server but different disk?

Tanks

Yes robocopy with copy permission flag or secure copy.

the shares can be transfered by exporting the following key and importing it
(providing the new server has the EXACT same directory structure)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\Shares

by exporting a REG file is created... MAKE sure the DEFAULT WINDOWS shares
are removed by you before importing!!!

if the drive letter changed make sure to edit the REG file and change it

Backup and restore the data.  Easy and quick.  Use Jorge's tip re. the
shares.  As it's 2003 you should have no issues modifying the REG_MULTI_SZ
in REGEDIT.  In 2000, you must use REGEDT32 as REGEDIT doesn't allow
REG_MULTI_SZ mods (in versions prior to 5.1).
