Is it possible for (as an admin) to login any machine as a user with
an admin password so I can see what happens and how the machine looks
for that user?

Thanks,
Jeff

If I understand, you wish to logon to a machine as domain administrator.

All computers in the domain (by default) can be logged onto with this
account and you will have local admin rights on that machine once logged on.

Does this help?

No, I want to log on the local machine as a user, but using an admin
password.  Is that possible?  I want to see what happens when a user
logs into the machine, what shares are available, what printers are
available, etc.

Sorry but this is meaningless :) Either you log in as user1 or as an admin -
you cannot log on as both :)

If you really want to experience what the user sees, you need to log on as
the user or as another user with all the same rights and settings. [or remote
control / shadow a user as he/she logs on to check the machine?? This can be
done as an admin - you shoulder surf the user's session.]

Perhaps I'm having a bad day and misunderstand you :)

Thanks for the info.  So, it appears I cannot do what I am after.  You
are correct, I want to login as the user, but if I don't know the
users password, I wanted an admin password to allow me in with the
users login.  But, it appears this is not possible.

On an old AppleshareIP setup, you were able to log into any user
account using the user login name and the admin password.  I was
wondering if that same ability existed with the Windows product.

I think you want to log in and have the shell load a user's profile that is
not your own, correct?

I don't know of a way this can happen by way of a feature, but I guess you
could copy their profile to yours, then log in. But that's kind of hokey.
