Hi,
I am trying to create home folders for users with
\\server\homefolders\%username\
When I goto apply, I get the message that I dont have create access on the
server. The user account has been updated...but I must create the directory
manually after obtaining the required access rights..
I am the administrator.... I have just set the server up for the first time,
set the homefolders for share, but cannot get past the above message..
Please Help.

You'll probably find that you only have read permissions, because you are
accessing the location via the shared folder.  In Server 2003, the default
permissions on shared folders are Everyone: Read.
