MY Documnet redirection and roamin profilesI have a question regarding Folder redirection and roaming profiles. Basically, we use Citrix for TS and all the users have two kind of roaming profiles. One for Desktop and one when they connect to TS. By default when you create a roaming profile through AD, the folder is owned by the user and for the administrator to view subfolders, the administrator has to change ownership. This is ok except it changes the My docuuments name from the user to (Administrators My Documents) and this causes problem with folder redirection. Is there a way for working around this issue? Any help will be Appreciated. -- M.B yes, make use of this GPO
Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\User Profiles\Add the Administrators security group to roaming user profiles This will give the Administrators permission to view the profile, however this must be done prior to the creation of the roaming profile to work. Another thing you could do for the users already with profiles is you can assign the ownership back to the user once you have granted administrators their permissions. -- Show quoteHide quoteBrian Delaney, MCSE "M.B" wrote: > Hi everyone, > > I have a question regarding Folder redirection and roaming profiles. > > Basically, we use Citrix for TS and all the users have two kind of roaming > profiles. > > One for Desktop and one when they connect to TS. > > By default when you create a roaming profile through AD, the folder is owned > by the user and for the administrator to view subfolders, the administrator > has to change ownership. > > This is ok except it changes the My docuuments name from the user to > (Administrators My Documents) and this causes problem with folder redirection. > > Is there a way for working around this issue? > > Any help will be Appreciated. > > > -- > M.B > Thanks Brian.
